
Pirates Set for American Championship

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's tennis team will compete in the opening round of the 2026 American Conference Championship, facing #4 Tulsa at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the George R. Brown Tennis Center in Houston, Texas.

The 13th seed, ECU finished the regular season with a 4-10 record which featured wins over VCU, Lehigh, Campbell and Hampton. Kim Auerswald was the most successful individual during team play this spring with a 6-5 record in singles play, including one ranked win, and a 6-7 mark in doubles playing in tandem with Reese Calvo. Calvo finished 6-8 in singles play this spring.

The American Conference Championship are being held April 16-19 with the Championship Match being broadcast on ESPN+. The top three seeds (Wichita State, Charlotte and Rice) receive bids into the quarterfinal round.
