GREENVILLE, N.C. - Following a perfect 5-0 week where the East Carolina baseball team outscored its opponents 87-18, the Pirates find themselves ranked in three national polls Monday afternoon for the 26th consecutive week.
The Pirates (16-8) were tabbed No. 20 by Ping!Baseball (up seven spots), No. 23 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (up six), No. 25 by Rivals.com (no change), and received votes in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll.
This week's rankings extends the Pirates streak that dates back to the start of the 2009 season, where ECU has been ranked in at least one national poll.
The Pirates will continue their 13-game home stand this week when they play host to Elon (Mar. 30 at 6 p.m.), UNC Wilmington (Mar. 31 at 6 p.m.) and will open up Conference USA action with a three-game tilt against Tulane (Apr. 2-3).
