MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
?East Carolina won its season-opener for the 15th consecutive season and its home opener for the 13th straight year.
?The Pirates won their 22nd consecutive game against non-Division I opponents.
?ECU improved to 7-1 all-time against N.C. Wesleyan with their sixth straight win in the series.
?ECU Head Coach Jeff Lebo improved to 17-0 all-time as head coach in home openers and 13-4 in season openers.
?East Carolina is 19-1 in home openers since the basketball facility was renamed Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum in 1995.
TEAM NOTES
?ECU has scored 97 or more points in three of its last four season openers.
?The Pirates had five players score in double figure for the first time since Jan. 30, 2014 at Middle Tennessee State.
?East Carolina missed tying the school record for steals by one (17). The record of 18 was set against Marshall on Feb. 12, 2011.
?The Pirates' three 3-pointers were their fewest since making just two against Mount Olive on Dec. 8, 2013.
?Seven players played more than 20 minutes, but none played over 25.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
?B.J. Tyson's 22 points were the most by an ECU freshman in his debut since the Pirates helped charter the CAA in 1985.It was also the most by an ECU player in his debut since Darrell Jenkins scored 22 against Morgan State on Nov. 11, 2006.
?Michel-Ofik Nzege became the first ECU player to post a double-double in Jenkins had 22 points and 12 assists versus Morgan State.
?Marshall Guilmette posted a career-high 14 points.
?Terry Whisnant recorded a career-high three steals.
?Paris Roberts-Campbell missed the first game of his college career after playing in all 100 games the previous three seasons.
