Opening statement
"It was nice to get everybody in the game. A lot of guys who hadn't played got a chance to play. It was nice to see some of the walk-ons get in and do well. Peyton (Robbins) got the biggest cheer of the night, and it was well deserved. We did some nice things and we outrebounded somebody, which was nice to see. Terry (Whisnant) shot the ball very well, but we didn't shoot very well from the foul line. Michel (Nzege) rebounded the ball well; we didn't foul very much, or get into foul trouble, and that was very helpful. We had balance tonight, B.J. (Tyson) was aggressive; you can see his speed and athleticism in transition. Kanu (Aja) is very good, and he is going to be an outstanding player. LT (Lance Tejada) didn't shoot it very well and he' got to become more consistent shooting the ball. The speed from our freshman in the guard spot is very solid.
"Antonio (Robinson) was terrific tonight distributing the basketball. Eleven assists and one turnover, I'll take that."
On Marshall Guilmette's injury
"Well he has a pulled muscle, and I don't know how long that is going to be. It could be three or four [weeks], a year. It's up to Marshall to let us know when he can go again. It's really frustrating for him and for our team. It's the same muscle that he has dealt with before. He has had them(Injuries) all. A lot of what we have done offensively revolves around him in there and what we are trying to do. With him out we have to change what we are doing with our post guys, and thats hard to do."
On getting the ball into the post
"We wanted to get paint touches whether we threw it inside or got paint touches off the dribble. We didn't shoot very well when we got there."
On Terry Whisnant
"It was nice to see him make four threes and getting more comfortable out there. We're getting him to play as hard as he possibly can, and doing it with some toughness. I told him before the game to play as hard as you can with every possession and be as tough as you can with every possession. It was nice to see him go 5 of 8 from the field."
Sophomore Michel-Ofik Nzege
On post play
"Having Mike [Zangari] back feels good. It feels good to have another big man in the rotation he's helping me on the boards too. Kanu did a great job on the boards as well so it's going to help us a lot down the line. It didn't show it tonight but Mike can stretch the floor and it's going to help us down the line so it's definitely great to see him back on the floor."
On the walk-ons contributions
"It's always nice to see walk-ons come into the game. People don't realize what they do in practice because we are on the court more than they are but guys like Peyton Robbins and Francis Edosomwan are true leaders in practice and they play really hard. You can ask Coach Lebo, Francis is the hardest working player on the team so you can't undervalue the work they do in practice. It was definitely exciting to see Francis and Peyton going into the game tonight."
Freshman B.J. Tyson
On coming off the bench
"I am very comfortable. It's amazing coming off the bench giving the guys energy."
On the upcoming Gulf Coast Showcase
"I am looking forward to it. I'm so excited right now I could jump out this seat. It's a business trip just like coach said we are going to have to go down there and play tough because Green Bay is a very good team."
