GREENVILLE, N.C. -- The East Carolina University men's and women's swimming and diving teams are each among college swimming's Top-30 rankings in the most recent polls as each squad sits at No. 27.
The Pirate men have a cumulative point total of 665.45, after splitting a dual meet over the weekend with Navy and Old Dominion. ECU is the highest ranked American Athletic Conference men's team and one of two league squads ranked among the Top-50, joined by Cincinnati (31st).
On the women's side, ECU also comes in at No. 27 with 674.72 points, following its tri-meet split with the Midshipmen and Monarchs this past Saturday. The Pirates are one of three American conference schools ranked among the Top-50, but the only one ranked inside the Top-30, joined by Cincinnati (42nd) and Tulane (44th).
The ECU men and women return to action Oct. 23-24 when they square off in a two-day dual meet against UNC Wilmington. The meet will begin on Oct. 23 on the UNCW campus and conclude the following day at Minges Natatorium.
