Dugan, Reiser Named ECU Student Athletes of the Month

        Nov. 10, 2015 GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina senior        swimmer Michael Dugan and junior        distance runner Caroline Reiser have been        selected as the male and female Student-Athletes of the Month following an outstanding        October for the pair both athletically and academically. 
         
Dugan earned first-place finishes in five events in a dual meet against UNCW Oct. 24 after turning in three top-three results at the Navy/ODU Tri-Meet. He also placed second in the 1,650 at the All-North Carolina Invitational. Dugan currently owns the top time in the American Athletic Conference in two events.
         
Out of the pool, Dugan maintains a 3.51 grade-point average and is pursuing a degree in chemistry.
         
Reiser led the women's cross country squad to a fourth-place finish at the American Athletic Conference Championship hosted by ECU at Overton's Lake Kristi. She finished in 15th place with a personal-best 6K time of 21:09.16, earning all-conference honors as a result.
         
The Annapolis, Md., native owns a perfect 4.0 GPA as a sports studies major and business minor.
         
The swimming and diving teams are back in action Nov. 19-21 at the Nike Cup in Chapel Hill while the cross country squads head to Charlottesville, Va., this Friday for the NCAA Southeast Regional.
