Divers Claim Three Wins In Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. --- The East Carolina men's and women's diving team claimed three first place finishes in a meet with Clemson and Richmond at the Greensboro Aquatic Center Saturday.
Junior Ashley Sams placed first on the 3-meter springboard, scoring a NCAA Regional Zone qualifying and career-best 328.65 points. Fellow junior Lily Armstrong placed sixth in the event, scoring a season-high 278.15 points. Sams earned a seventh-place finish in the 1-meter competition with Armstrong finishing 13th and Zoe Feingold taking 15th.
On the men's side, sophomore Scott Kent qualified for the NCAA Regional Zone Championship for the second straight weekend, capturing first-place on the 3-meter springboard with a score of 327.90. Matt Mullen earned first-place in the 1-meter competition. Junior Zach Duval claimed third-place in each event.
ECU will return to competition Nov. 19-21 at the prestigious Nike Cup at Koury Natatorium on the campus of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
