GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina officials have announced that the Pirate baseball team will play host to Albany this weekend in a three-game series at Lewis Field inside Clark-LeClair Stadium starting Friday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m.
The Pirates (2-4) were originally scheduled to participate in the Third Annual USA Baseball-Irish Classic at the USA National Training Complex in Cary, N.C., but due to inclement weather in the Triangle area caused by snow and ice Thursday morning, the annual event has been cancelled.
Season ticket holders can contact or visit the ECU Ticket Office (252-737-4500) to claim your free ticket(s) for the weekend series or pick them up at the baseball ticket office at Clark-LeClair Stadium starting two hours prior to the first pitch each day. Single-game tickets are available online and at the stadium as well.
ECU and Albany (1-2) have met just three times on the diamond with the Pirates claiming a three-game home series sweep in 2006 (16-5, 11-3, 13-9).
