GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina athletic officials have announced that Wednesday's baseball game against Princeton has been moved up to a 5 p.m. (ET) start.
The change in game time was made to accommodate the first round of the Women's National Invitational Tournament (WNIT), where the Pirates will play host to Radford. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum.
"I was excited to hear the news that Coach (Heather) Macy and the women's basketball team are hosting the opening round of the WNIT against Radford Wednesday night, the first in program history," ECU Baseball Head Coach Cliff Godwin said. "Moving our baseball start time up 90 minutes will allow the Pirate Nation the opportunity to catch two great teams in action on the same day. I talk about East Carolina Athletics being a family and this one way to show it. Pirates Supporting Pirates!"
ECU will continue its five-game home stand this weekend playing former Colonial Athletic Association foe Virginia Commonwealth in a three-game non-conference series starting Friday, Mar. 20 with a 6:30 p.m. scheduled first pitch.
