
ECU Athletics Unveils Cliff’s Cab

GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina Athletics unveiled a new promotional initiative Monday, Jan. 25 on its main campus called "Cliff's Cab," which is designed to service and educate the students about Pirate baseball.
Second-year head coach Cliff Godwin took to campus Monday morning in his six-passenger golf cart offering students rides to their classes, while quizzing them about Pirate baseball. For each question the passengers got correct, they would win a prize.
Over the next three weeks, "Cliff's Cab" can be found cruising around campus each Monday between 10:30-11:30 a.m. leading up to the 2016 season opener on Friday, Feb. 19 against Longwood (4 p.m. first pitch).

Godwin, a four-year letterwinner at East Carolina, guided the Pirates to a 40-win season, a 2015 American Athletic Conference Tournament title and a berth in the 2015 Coral Gables Regional - its first NCAA Regional since 2012.
