GREENVILLE, N.C. -- The East Carolina women's swimming and diving team was named a College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America team for posting a 3.33 team grade point average for the 2015 fall semester, the CSCAA announced Wednesday.
Over 70 percent of all Division I women's programs received the honor, which is bestowed upon those that achieved at least a cumulative 3.0 grade point average or better during the Fall 2015 semester. All six American Athletic Conference programs were recognized, led by Cincinnati with a 3.52 GPA.
Boise State posted the nation's highest GPA of 3.64.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America is the oldest professional organization of college coaches in America. The CSCAA is dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
