LOUISVILLE, Ky. – East Carolina carded a second round score of 302 (14-over par) moving up one spot into a tie for fifth at the Cardinal Cup. The three-day, 54-hole event is being held at the par-72, 6,393-yard University of Louisville Golf Club.
With 18 holes remaining, the Pirates are tied with host and No. 50 Louisville. Leading the team portion of the event is No. 7 Florida State (593) followed by No. 42 Wisconsin (597), No. 48 Kentucky (603) and No. 22 Illinois (604).
Freshman Dorthea Forbrigd (149) dropped three spots to sixth place after posting a second round score of 76 (4-over). Sophomore Kate Law (152) moved up to a tie for 14th with a 3-over 75. Junior Lisa Pettersson (158) is tied for 49th, while freshmen Siranon Shoomee (159) and Grace Yatawara (161) are tied for 53rd and 60th. Playing as individuals for ECU are sophomores Carley Cox (157/t45) and Catherine Ashworth (161/t60).
Wisconsin's Brooke Ferrell (143) fired an impressive 4-under 68 and holds a one shot lead over Florida State's Morgane Metraux (144). Rounding out the Top 5 are Kentucky's Jordan Chael (146), Florida State's Matilda Castren (147) and Illinois' Grace Park (148).
