
Erle Craven Named American Athletic Conference Male Swimmer-of-the-Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – East Carolina's Erle Craven was named the American Athletic Conference Male Swimmer-of-the-Week by the conference office on Tuesday. The senior earned the award for the first time in his career after posting a pair of NCAA B cuts at the Georgia Tech Invitational.
Craven recorded top-50 NCAA Division I times in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center. The Winston-Salem, N.C. native finished the 100 in fourth place with a time of 54.29 and touched the wall at 1:58.65 in the 200. Both times are the fastest in The American this season. Â
Both marks also rank third all-time in the ECU record books and earned him a place at the AT&T Winter National Championships in Atlanta next month.
