THEY SAID IT
"After not a great first half of taking care of the basketball, I thought we did a much better job in the second half. Defensively I thought we're awfully good, in particular the second half. I think the last 13 minutes they might've had one field goal, so defensively we were solid." – Lebo on his team's performance
"He's getting better. I think he's getting more comfortable and you can see his speed and his shiftiness and he handles the ball very easily; he can pass and he's shooting the ball pretty well for us. He can score the ball from the point guard position. He missed three games, and as a freshman it takes time [to get acclimated], but I thought tonight was his best game. We'll need him to continue to grow and get better, and get more confident as the season goes on." – Lebo on Sheppard's growth as a player
"I just like blocking shots, it's just something I like to do. It's intimidating, you know? If I block one shot and they come in there again then they're going to be scared. I pretty much just have my hands up and being a presence." – Washington on blocking shots
"I just play hard. I'm just thankful to be out here, thankful for God giving me the opportunity to come here and play so I'm not really worried about foul trouble. I sat the bench at Wake for like four years so if I got the game I didn't have before so I'm just thankful to be out there so I'm just going to play as hard as I can while I'm here." – Washington on playing aggressively without fouling
"[Coach] Lebo harped on it at halftime and talked to us about slowing down and just playing our game." – Tyson on better ball control in the second half
"They're not a very good transition defense team so Coach Lebo was telling us to just catch it, rebound it and just attack and when I caught it or they pitched that outlet to me I looked up and the lanes were open and I just went for it." - Tyson on driving to the basket
