
ECU Baseball Makes Splash In National Polls

GREENVILLE, N.C. – After posting a 3-1 week, which included a road series win at No. 4 Virginia, the East Carolina baseball team found itself ranked in four national collegiate polls Monday afternoon.
The Pirates (6-1) garnered national rankings from D1Baseball.com – No. 16, Baseball America (BA) - No. 25, Collegiate Baseball (CB) - No. 25 and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) - No. 25, while picking up votes in Perfect Game’s (PG) weekly poll.
ECU joins Houston (No. 21/BA, No. 21/NCBWA) and Tulane (No. 27/CB) as the only American Athletic Conference schools represented in this week’s national polls.
The Pirates (6-1) will return to action on Wednesday, Mar. 2 when they host in-state foe Elon (3-5) at Lewis Field inside Clark-LeClair Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. (EST).
