GREENVILLE, N.C. - No. 17 East Carolina will play host to in-state foe and No. 6 North Carolina Tuesday, Mar. 15 at Lewis Field inside Clark-LeClair Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (ET).
GAME INFORMATION
• The ALS Association will have a booth at Tuesday's game … Greek Challenge - there will be three locations for Fraternity/Sorority check-in at the game (soccer/softball plaza, customer service booth and third-base entry side of the jungle) … Student Pirate Club members will be able to secure their tickets via mobile ticketing starting at 10 am Tuesday morning.
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE GAME
• The Pirates and Tar Heels will meet for the first time since 2014 … UNC holds a 45-27 lead in the all-time series … The Pirates won both meetings in 2014 picking up a 3-2 win in Greenville (4/22) and 1-0 victory in Chapel Hill (4/29) … Both teams have faced off four times in NCAA tournament play (2007, 2009 and 2012) with the Tar Heels winning all four match-ups.

• Cliff Godwin, who was named the 16th head coach in school history on June 25, 2014, was a four-year letterwinner for the Pirates from 1998-2001 ... He has been a part of eight NCAA Regional and two College World Series teams at the Division I level as an assistant coach and head coach ... Godwin guided the Pirates to a 40-win season, an American Athletic Conference Tournament title and a berth in the Coral Gables Regional -- its first NCAA Regional since 2012 -- in his first year at the helm ...
