East Carolina Softball Announces 2016 Fall Schedule

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina softball team will play eight games as part of its 2016 Fall schedule, according to an announcement Tuesday by second-year head coach Courtney Oliver.

ECU opens the slate Oct. 9 with a doubleheader at Elon beginning at 1 p.m. before hosting Longwood for a twinbill Oct. 14 at 6:30 p.m.

North Carolina serves as the next opponent as East Carolina will travel over to Chapel Hill for a doubleheader Oct. 16 beginning at 2 p.m. The Pirates and Tar Heels were supposed to play a single game during the 2016 regular season but it was cancelled due to inclement weather.

The Pirates welcome NC State to the ECU Softball Stadium Oct. 21 for a 5 p.m. doubleheader that will wrap up the fall schedule.

The program will host its Alumni Day to end the fall Oct. 22 with festivities beginning at Noon.

Oct. 9 – at Elon (DH) | 1 p.m.
Oct. 14 – Longwood (DH) | 6:30 p.m.
Oct. 16 – at North Carolina (DH) | 2:00 p.m.
Oct. 21 – NC State (DH) | 5:00 p.m.
Oct. 22 – Alumni Day | Noon
