GREENVILLE, N.C. --- The East Carolina men and women's swimming and diving team swept a dual meet from Old Dominion on Saturday at Minges Natatorium.

The men's team posted a 175-113 victory and the ladies scored a 171-117 win, as the Pirates claimed first-place in 28 of the 33 events.

John Myhre earned four total first-place finishes, winning the 100 and 200-yard freestyle and helping ECU take first in the 200-yard medley relay as well as the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Myhre swam the anchor leg in the 400 medley and helped the Pirates' foursome, along with Blaz Demsar, Gustavo Santos and Maxime Cadiat, registered a team-best time of 3:05.19.

Boleck DePawlikowski and Grega Popovic also posted a pair of individual wins each with DePawlikowski touching finishing first in the 100 and 200-yard backstroke, while Popovic claimed victory in the 100 and 500-yard freestyle.

On the women's side, Julie Lajoie posted a trio of individual triumphs, recording season and team-best times in the 200-yard butterfly (2:01.64) and 200-yard IM (2:04.55). She also touched first in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:28.62).

Marion Abert and Logan Graumann were also victorious in multiple events. Abert claimed first-place by almost 17 seconds in the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.39) after winning the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.34) by 0.36 seconds. Graumann finished 0.21 seconds ahead of teammate Erin Polich to win the 50-yard freestyle (24.19) after touching 0.79 in front of Old Dominion's Colleen Vandepoel to win the 100-yard backstroke (57.69).

The Pirates won all four diving events with the ladies claiming first and second in the one and three-meter competition.

Alicia Roueche won the women's three-meter event with an NCAA zone qualifying and personal-best score of 319.65. Ashley Sams received a first-place score of 266.70 on the one-meter springboard, posting her first NCAA zone qualifying score of the season.

Roueche earned second-place in the one-meter competition as did Sams in the three-meter.

Matt Mullen won the men's one and three-meter diving events with Taylor Berkey finishing second on the 3-meter springboard with a personal-best score of 307.12.

The Pirates return to action Saturday, Jan. 21, at home against UMBC at 1 p.m. This will be the final home meet for head coach Rick Kobe, who is retiring at the end of the season after 37 years at ECU.
