GREENVILLE, N.C. – After a 66-62 setback Wednesday night on the road at UNCW, the ECU women's basketball team returns home to the friendly confines of Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum Saturday, Nov. 18, to face Richmond at 7 p.m.

Richmond leads the all-time series 24-18 while ECU won the most recent matchup, 71-60, on Dec. 17, 2016 in Richmond, Va. Under head coach Heather Macy, the Pirates are 1-0 against the Spiders.

Mickayla Sanders leads the Pirates with 14.5 points per game off the bench while sophomore Raven Johnson is averaging 13.5 points per game. The Pirates have had at least one 20-point scorer in both games this season. Thais Oliveira leads the squad with 10.0 rebounds per game and is adding 8.0 points per game, good for third on the team. ECU is shooting  .347 from the field this season and is 14-for-51 from behind the arc with Sanders accounting for 10 of the Pirates' treys.

Richmond is 2-1 this season after a close 85-81 home loss to Wake Forest on Wednesday night. The Spiders are paced by the Parson sisters. Micaela leads the team with 19.7 points per game while her sister Alex is second on the team in scoring with 14.0 points per game off the bench. In addition, Alex Parson is shooting a team-best .533 from three-point range (8-for-15). As a unit Richmond is shooting .412 from the field and outscoring their opponents by 2.3 points by game.
