GREENVILLE, N.C. – The ECU women's basketball team (1-2) returns to action on Tuesday night when it hosts William & Mary (2-1) at Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

ECU looks to snap a two-game slide after losing to both UNCW and Richmond by less than five points. The Pirates are led in scoring by Mickayla Sanders who is averaging 12.3 points per game after having a career-high 22 points in ECU's 66-62 loss at UNCW last week. Raven Johnson is second in scoring with 11.7 points per game. Senior center Thais Oliveira has been dominant off the glass for ECU with 10.3 rebounds per game, two 10+ rebound games and a double-double in the season opener against USC Upstate on Nov. 10.

As a unit, ECU is averaging 64.0 points per game and shooting 33.8 percent from the field. The Pirates have out-rebounded opponents by 3.3 boards per game and are averaging 43.0 rebounds per game.

William & Mary began the season 2-0 with wins over Howard and Fairfield before suffering its first loss of the season, 92-81, at St. John's. The Tribe has four players averaging double figures with Bianca Boggs leading the way with 17.7 points per game. Both Jenna Green and Victoria Reynolds are contributing 12.0 points per game while Abby Rendle is adding an average of 10.7 points. Reynolds is also leading the team with 7.7 rebounds per game.

The Tribe is shooting 44.4 percent from the floor and outscoring opponents by 3.7 points per game with and a scoring average of 73.7.

ECU leads the all-time series 33-12 between the two former CAA rivals. Additionally, the Pirates are 17-3 at home against the Tribe. Last time the two met, William & Mary defeated ECU 82-72 on Dec. 28, 2016 at Kaplan Arena. The last time the two met in at Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum, ECU claimed a 69-57 victory on Nov. 11, 2013.
