Conover Continues Play At NCAA College Grove Regional

COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. --- East Carolina junior Tim Conover fired a 4-over-par 76 Tuesday to fall to 7-over-par 151 through two rounds at the 2017 NCAA College Grove Regional at the par-72, 7,383-yard Grove Club course.

Conover is tied for 49th overall, dropping nine places from Monday's first round. He stood 1-over-par through 13 holes Tuesday, but recorded three bogeys on the final five holes to conclude the round.

Lipscomb's Dawson Armstrong carded 7-under-par 65 in round two to surge ahead five places into the individual lead with a 36 hole score of 10-under-par 134. Vanderbilt's Patrick Martin (-9) is one stroke behind Armstrong in second-place with Clemson's Bryson Nimmer in third-place at 7-under-par.

Second-ranked Vanderbilt has an eight-stroke lead on the field in the team standings at 12-under-par 564. Clemson, Lipscomb and UCF are tied for second-place at 4-under-par 572 with Kennesaw State holding a three-stroke lead over Troy for fifth-place at 1-under-par 575.

The low five teams at the regional advance to the national championships, which will be held May 26-31 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill.

Final round action will begin at 7:30 a.m. (ET) with Conover once again teeing off from the 10th hole at 10:04 a.m.
