Cincinnati, Ohio– The ECU women's basketball team (10-10, 2-5) will travel to Ohio Saturday for an American Athletic Conference contest at Cincinnati (13-7, 5-2). Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. (EST) at St. Ursula Academy Gymnasium.

Freshman Ariyana Williams is averaging an ECU team-best 10.6 points per game. Senior Thais Oliveira is second on the team in scoring with 8.8 points per contest while also leading the team in rebounds with 6.2 per game. Junior Alex Frazier has recorded 74 assists on the season and is sixth in the conference with 4.2 assists per game. The Pirates lead the American Athletic Conference in offensive rebounds at 15.8 per contest.

Freshman Necole Hope was selected to the AAC weekly honor roll on Jan. 22 after posting a career-high 18 points and converting the game-winning layup in ECU's 80-78 win versus Houston this past Saturday.

Cincinnati has won four-straight games and is currently tied for second in the conference. Junior guard Nikira Goings leads the Bearcats in scoring at 12.5 points per game. Senior Ana Owens is second on the team at 11.7 points per game and also leads the team in assists with 4.3 per contest. Freshman IImar'I Thomas is the third Bearcat averging double-figures with 11.1 points per game and leads the conference in field goal percentage at 60.3 percent.

The Pirates are 6-2 all-time against the Bearcats and hold the same record under head coach Heather Macy. The two teams met in the conference opener on Dec. 30, 2017. The Bearcats defeated the Pirates 66-54. Owens led all scorers in the game with 18 points for Cincinnati. Destiny Campbell, Salita Greene and Mickayla Sanders each recorded eight points for ECU.
