Women’s Basketball Falls To Memphis On The Road

Memphis, Tn. – The ECU women's basketball team (8-8, 0-3) fell 72-36 in the American Athletic Conference road opener to Memphis (6-9, 1-1) at Elma Roane Fieldhouse.
The Tigers jumped out to an early first quarter lead using a 13-2 run in the first six minutes to propel them in the lead and would hold it for the remainder of the game.
Junior Salita Greene led the Pirates with eight points and eight rebounds in 20 minutes of work. Sophomore Raven Johnson and senior Thais Oliveira added seven points and six points, respectively.
Memphis Senior Brea Elmore led all scorers with 22 points while being one of three Tigers to play all 40 minutes. Fellow Senior Cheyenne Creighton recorded a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
The Tigers now lead the all-time series 16-12 and the Pirates are 2-10 all-time against Memphis under Macy
