GREENVILLE, N.C. – The ECU women's basketball team (8-8, 0-3) will return home to continue American Athletic Conference play as the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (8-8, 2-1) visit Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum on Wednesday at 7 p.m. (EST).

After winning seven-of-eight to close the non-conference, the Pirates have since dropped the first three AAC contests. Freshman Ariyana Williams is averaging a team-high 11.1 points per game. Senior Thais Oliveira is second on the team in scoring with 9.9 points per contest while also leading the team in rebounds with 7.3 per game. Junior Alex Frazier has recorded 67 assists on the season and is fifth in the conference with 4.4 assists per game.

With a 64-54 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore on Dec. 28, 2017, eighth-year head coach Heather Macy tied Sharon Baldwin-Tener (2002-2010) as the program's all-time wins leader with 126.

Tulsa is led by sophomore Shug Dickinson who is the lone Golden Hurricane player averaging double-figures at 13.8 points per contest. Alexus Gaulden and Erika Wakefield average 9.3 and 8.7 points per game, respectively. The Golden Hurricane rank first in the AAC in free-throw percentage at 75.7 percent.

Wednesday's contest marks the 19^th time the two teams have met in the all-time series that dates back to 2006. The Golden Hurricane lead the series 10-8. Macy holds a 6-5 all-time record against Tulsa. In the last meeting between the two on Jan. 1, 2017, the Pirates fell on the road in overtime 100-92.
