Hageman And Sullivan Named Student-Athletes Of The Month

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Freshman Ethan Hageman and senior Grace Sullivan of the cross country program have been selected the Student-Athletes of the Month for September following an outstanding month athletically.

Hageman finished second overall at the season-opening Carolina Challenge Sept. 1, running a 5K time of 15:26.3 which is the 10th fastest in program history. He was also the top Pirate finisher at the Paul Short Run, clocking in at 25:33 in the 8K for an 87th-place result.

Sullivan was the individual women's champion at the Carolina Challenge, running the third-fastest 5K time in school history at 17:08.5. She then turned in a seventh-place finish out of 353 runners in the 6K at the Paul Short Run, crossing the finish line in a time of 20:46 which is the third-best mark in program history.

The duo has already combined for 17 hours of community service during the current academic year.
