Monk has handed out 18 assists, putting her fifth in the conference in assists per game (4.5) and she is also fifth in free throw percentage, making 26-of-29 (.897) from the charity stripe. Also finding themselves among the conference leaders are Salita Greene and Destiny Campbell. Greene is eighth in the league in rebounding, hauling in 7.3 boards per game while Campbell is second in blocked shots with 10.
Â
Wake Forest comes into the weekend with a 3-2 record, having dropped consecutive games to VCU and Xavier. The Demon Deacons have been led by Elisa Penna, who was a Second-Team All-ACC pick a year ago and was named to the Preseason All-ACC team. She is averaging 16.3 ppg in three games so far. Ivana Raca and Ona Udoh are both scoring in double figures this season, with Raca pouring in 15.0 ppg to go along with 8.2 rebounds per game while Udoh has averages of 11.2 ppg and 8.4 rpg.
