GREENVILLE, N.C. – The ECU women's basketball team (13-11, 5-6) will host Memphis (7-17, 2-9) in an American Athletic Conference clash in Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum Wednesday evening. The contest is set for 7 p.m. (EST) and can be streamed on ESPN3.

ECU has won four of its last six contests, including a three-game winning streak. The purple and gold lead the AAC in steals per game, averaging 11.3. The Pirates also lead the conference in offensive rebounding with 357 on the season and an average of 15.5 per game

Freshman Ariyana Williams is averaging an ECU team-best 9.6 points per game. Senior Thais Oliveira is second on the team in scoring with 8.8 points per contest. In conference play, freshman Lashonda Monk is averaging a team-high of 8.6 points. Junior Alex Frazier is averaging 8.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists in AAC play. Frazier joins sophomore Dominque Claytor as the only two Pirates to start all 11 conference games.

Coming into Wednesday's matchup, Memphis has lost seven consecutive games. The Tigers last win was on Jan. 13 at Tulsa, 69-48. The team is lead in scoring by senior guard Brea Elmore, who scores 14.5 per game. Fellow senior Cheyenne Creighton averages 14.4 points and a team-high 8.0 rebounds per game.

The all-time series dates back to 2002 and is led by the Tigers, 16-12. Macy holds a 2-10 all-time record against Memphis. In the last meeting on Jan. 6, 2018, the Tigers defeated ECU 72-36 in Memphis at Elma Roane Fieldhouse. Sophomore Raven Johnson led the Pirates in scoring with seven points, while Brea Elmore and Cheyenne Creighton each recorded 21 and 22 points, respectively for the Tigers.
