NEW ORLEANS --- B.J. Tyson made two free throws with two seconds to play to lift ECU to an 82-80 win over Tulane inside Devlin Fieldhouse Wednesday night. It was the Pirates' fifth straight win over the Green Wave in New Orleans.

TURNING POINT
Shawn Williams made two free throws with 1:19 remaining to make it a two possession game. Tulane's Caleb Daniels made two free throws with 1:14 to play before Cameron Reynolds tied it with a 3 with 29 seconds left. Daniels later fouled Tyson to set up the game-winning free throw attempts.

ECU PLAYER-OF-THE-GAME
Williams scored 29 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the floor, including 6-of-6 from outside the 3-point arc …He was also a perfect 5-of-5 at the charity stripe, making all four of his free throw attempts in the final three minutes … Williams set the ECU record for 3-point field goals made without a miss … He also had three assists in 39 minutes of action … It was his third 20-point game in the last eight contests.

Tyson scored 22 points to become the all-time leading scorer in the five-year history of The American … Isaac Fleming came off the bench to score 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting … Graduate Aaron Jackson played a career-high 34 minutes and grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds, he was averaging just 1.4 rebounds per game entering the contest.
