Women's Tennis Wins Third-Straight at UNC Wilmington

Wilmington, N.C. --- The ECU Women's tennis team (6-2, 1-0) defeated UNCW (0-7) 6-2 on the road Friday afternoon.

The Pirates top duo of Lisa Hofbauer and Celia Ruiz started the day off with a 6-2 victory in doubles play. In singles, Ruiz would finish first her match first as well, defeating the Seahawk's No. 1 spot, Sabrina Barisano, 6-2, 6-0.

The purple and gold are now 3-2 in road matches and will play their next eight matches away from home.
