CINCINNATI, Ohio  – The ECU women's track and field team clinched its best-ever finish at the AAC Outdoor Championships Sunday, taking second place as competition wrapped up at Gettler Stadium on the campus of the University of Cincinnati. Â
The Pirates snagged their third event title of the meet Sunday as senior Stefano Migliorati successfully defended his 800m crown by recording a time of 1:51.06.
Â
Coach Kraft's Take: "It's hard to describe how we feel as a team and coaching staff at this moment. It is so nice to see the student-athletes receive this trophy for all the hard work they put in. The women's team has worked extremely hard the past four years to arrive at this moment. To say that this was a team accomplishment would truly be an understatement. To accomplish what we did this weekend takes a lot of work by the coaching staff and the athletes. I am extremely proud of everybody that has put work into this achievement. Hopefully this is a start to better things in the future!"
