Taylor Qualifies For PGA Greenbrier Classic

DANIELS, W.Va. --- ECU rising junior Blake Taylor qualified for his first PGA TOUR event Monday at the Greenbrier Classic "Open" qualifier at the Resort at Glade Springs. The Atkinson, N.C. native shot 5-under-par 66 to finish in a four-way tie for second place.
Taylor, Wes Homan and Logan Lagodich defeated Mark Silvers in a playoff for the final three qualifying spots behind leader and former U.S. Amateur Public Links champion T. J. Vogel, who carded a 6-under-par 65.
Named to The American all-conference team as a sophomore, Taylor finished second on the team with a 72.8 scoring average. He finished in the top-10 in a pair of tournaments with a season-best fifth-place finish at the Stitch Intercollegiate.
He will tee off in the first round of the Greenbrier Classic on Thursday at the Old White TPC course.
