Swimming & Diving Teams Ranked In Latest Top 25

GREENVILLE, N.C. --- Two weeks into the 2019-20 season, the East Carolina University men's and women's swimming and diving teams find themselves each ranked among the Top 25 in the latest CollegeSwimming.com Division I Team Rankings.

The men's squad is 15th this week and is the highest ranked team in the American Athletic Conference with Cincinnati coming in at No. 26 followed by Connecticut at No. 31. The Pirates opened the season with a win over Old Dominion and then were narrowly defeated by North Carolina in Chapel Hill a week ago.

The ladies' team holds down the No. 25 position and is the highest ranked American Athletic Conference squad in this week's rankings. Connecticut lands at No. 37 followed by Houston at No. 41 and Cincinnati at No. 43.

Exactly like their male counterparts, the women have a dual meet record of 1-1 with a win over Old Dominion and a loss to North Carolina.

Both ECU squads will return to action Saturday, Oct. 12, as they host William & Mary inside Minges Natatorium at 1 p.m.
