GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's golf team is set to close out the fall portion of its schedule this weekend participating in the 16th Annual Cardinal Cup in Louisville, Ky. from Oct. 18-20. The three-day, 54-hole event is being held at the par-72, 6,261-yard University of Louisville Golf Club.

The Pirates will be joined in the 17-team field by Ball State, Campbell, No. 59 Chattanooga, Eastern Kentucky, Kansas, No. 20 Kentucky, No. 42 Louisville (host), Mercer, Minnesota, Middle Tennessee, Murray State, Richmond, South Dakota, No. 50 Washington, Western Kentucky, and Wisconsin.

Head coach CC Buford will use a line-up consisting of seniors Dorthea Forbrigd, Siranon Shoomee and Grace Yatawara, junior Kathryn Carson and freshman Caroline Hermes.

On the season, the Pirates (25-11) finished second at the Minnesota Invitational, claimed their fourth-straight Pirate Collegiate Classic title and finished 11th at the Princess Anne Invitational. Forbrigd leads the team with a 71.00 stroke average and has recorded three Top 17 finishes including top medalist honors at the Pirate Collegiate Classic.
