ORLANDO, FLA. – The ECU women's tennis team finished its spring break trip undefeated after beating Hampton and Saginaw Valley State 7-0 on Sunday at the USTA National Campus.

ECU (12-2) went 5-0 in Orlando and have now won 12 straight matches. ECU has not allowed a point in its past six matches, dating back to a 7-0 win over UNC Wilmington at home before heading south to Orlando.

The only time ECU had to sweat on Sunday came during the doubles point against Hampton. ECU started with Alisa Diercksen and Lisa Hofbauer whitewashing Cherise Slocombe and Kiah Turner 6-0 on court one. However, Hampton's Haley Mullins and Julia D'Auvergne beat Victoria Dixon and Sofia Anthony 6-3 on court three to level the proceedings. ECU got the point thanks to a 6-3 win by Annija Veinsteina and Martina Paladini-Jennings on court two.

The Pirates did not drop a single set in either of their matches. Celia Ruiz won both of her matches on court one, giving her eight straight wins, three of them at No. 1. Paladini-Jennings, Minette Van Vreden and Hsia Ho Chiao all got a pair of wins on the day, while Diercksen and Nastja Rettich won their match against Hampton.

The Pirates will have 10 days off before their next match. ECU will take on Charlotte at home on Thursday, March 14.
