GREENVILLE, N.C. – Just two games remain in the regular season and the ECU women's lacrosse team will continue to hunt for a playoff spot when the Pirates battle Temple on Saturday, April 20 at Howarth Field.

ECU (5-10, 0-3 AAC) is coming off a pair of losses to ranked teams. ECU was outscored just 26-16 in the first half against Duke and Florida, both of which are in the top-20 in the country, but 16-3 in the second half. Brittany Borchers led ECU with 7 points across the two games, scoring three goals and handing out four assists. Goalkeeper Christina White made 22 saves in the two games as well.

Ally Stanton leads ECU with 35 points, having scored 23 goals and 12 assists. Right behind her is Borchers (15 goals, 18 assists) with 33 points while Nicole LeGar (25 goals, six assists) has also broken the 30-point barrier. Not only has LeGar poured in those 31 points, she also leads ECU with 57 draw controls. On the defensive end, Hannah Melton (13) and Jordyn Cox (11) both have at least 10 caused turnovers. In the goal, Christina White has set new program records with 156 saves and 10 games with double-digit saves.

Temple (4-10, 1-2 AAC) earned its only conference win by beating Connecticut 17-13 on the road. The Owls have fallen to Florida and Cincinnati to round out their conference ledger. Temple has struggled to score this season, with the Owls' average of 9.85 goals per game ranking sixth in the American Conference. Maddie Gebert and Olivia Thompson are the top scorers for Temple, with Gebert scoring 29 goals while Thompson has 23. At the draw circle, Kara Nakrasius has a team-best 54 controls while Courtney Taylor has forced a team-high 22 turnovers. In the cage, Maryn Lowell has played the majority of the minutes with a save percentage of .389. Last season, ECU and Temple met for the first time with Temple claiming a 15-6 home win.
