ECU Women's Squad Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The ECU women's swimming program was honored as a Scholar All-America team for the 2019 spring semester by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) on Tuesday. It is the 21^st consecutive semester which the team was recognized by the organization for achieving a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The ECU women's swimming team boasts a cumulative GPA of 3.56, ranking second among the American Athletic Conference's six honorees. Cincinnati posted the league's highest GPA at 3.67.

In total, 184 women's teams achieved a 3.0 or higher - eight more than were recognized last spring, with a media GPA of 3.45, highest on record.

The Scholar All-America team award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. The College Swimming Coaches Association is the oldest coach's organization in America. In addition to Scholar All-America awards, the CSCAA recognizes All-American Swimmers and Divers at the NCAA championships every year.
