ECU Women's Squad Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The ECU women's swimming program was honored as a Scholar All-America team for the 2019 spring semester by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) on Tuesday. It is the 21st consecutive semester which the team was recognized by the organization for achieving a GPA of 3.0 or higher.Â
The ECU women's swimming team boasts a cumulative GPA of 3.56, ranking second among the American Athletic Conference's six honorees. Cincinnati posted the league's highest GPA at 3.67.
In total, 184 women's teams achieved a 3.0 or higher - eight more than were recognized last spring, with a media GPA of 3.45, highest on record.
The Scholar All-America team award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. The College Swimming Coaches Association is the oldest coach's organization in America. In addition to Scholar All-America awards, the CSCAA recognizes All-American Swimmers and Divers at the NCAA championships every year.
