East Carolina Names February Student-Athletes Of The Month

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Ryan Davis, Adam Mahler, Marek Osina, Rodrigo Romero, Gustavo Santos, Kristen Stege, Brooke Stith and Mackenzie Whitaker have been named the February Student-Athletes of the Month following championship performances at their respective American Athletic Conference Championships.

Davis (weight throw), Stith (triple jump) and Whitaker (pentathlon) all stood atop the podium at the AAC Indoor Championships in Birmingham while Mahler (200 butterfly), Osina (200 backstroke), Romero (1M diving), Santos (100 butterfly) and Stege (1650 freestyle) all struck gold at the AAC Swimming and Diving Championships in Houston.

In addition to winning their events, Davis, Santos and Stege all set meet records. The men's swimming and diving team also captured its fourth team conference title in the last six years.
