
Pirates Set To Conclude Fall Schedule

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.– The East Carolina women's golf team will close out the fall portion of the schedule with the Palmetto Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 25-26. The event will be hosted by College of Charleston at the par-72, 6,005-yard Turtle Point course at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, which features a 16-team field playing 36 holes Monday and 18 on Tuesday.Â

ECU will be paired with host College of Charleston and Sam Houston State for the first two rounds, which begins with an 8:45 a.m. shot gun start. Sam Houston State is the highest ranked team in the field at No. 42.Â

The 16-team field descending on Turtle Point this week also includes Chattanooga, Daytona State, Elon, Georgetown, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, North Florida, South Florida, Stetson, Troy, UNCG, Xavier and Youngstown State.Â

Traveling across the state line for the event are Oda Sofie Kilsti, Julia Boysen Hillestad, Caroline Hermes, Kathryn Carson, and Riley Hamilton. Hillestad shot 14-over-par 230 at the spring version of event earlier this year, while Kilsti and Carson turned in scorecards of 27 and 29-over-par.Â

Kilsti has two top 10 finishes in three events played this fall, while Carson, Hermes and Hillestad have one each.Â
