GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina embarks on its final week of the regular season Sunday when it makes the trip to Belk Arena for a non-conference match against host Davidson.

First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m. and fans can view the match live on the ESPN+ platform.

ECU (3-7) concluded its American Athletic Conference schedule last weekend at home with a two-match split versus Temple. The Pirates swept the Owls Friday before dropping a 3-1 decision Saturday.

Senior right side Bri Wood, who became the ninth player in program history to record 1,000 kills for her career last week, leads the squad with 127 kills (3.43 per set) and has collected a team second-best 120 digs (3.24 per set). Senior outside hitter Sydney Kleinman has also been a top offensive option on the left side, checking in with an average of 3.30 kills per set (122 total).

Defensively, senior libero Camryn Allen tops the club with 162 digs (4.38) per set while redshirt sophomore middle blocker S'mara Riley is second in the AAC in blocks per set (1.21).

As a unit, East Carolina is putting up 12.16 kills, 11.54 assists, 0.97 aces, 18.19 digs and 2.11 blocks per set. The Pirates rank third among league sides in digs per set and fifth in blocks per set.

A Look At Davidson
The Wildcats, who tussle with Elon Saturday before hosting ECU Sunday, are 2-8 overall with wins against Jacksonville and VCU. Remi Lehnertz has been one of Davidson's top offensive performers thus far in 2021 with a team-high 58 kills (2.15 per set). On the defensive end, Brady Bella boasts an average of 4.62 digs per set (157 total) while Madeline Wynn has compiled 29 total blocks. Collectively, the Wildcats are producing 9.94 kills, 9.24 assists, 1.03 aces, 14.03 digs and 1.74 blocks per set as well as a .150 hitting percentage.

The Davidson Series
East Carolina is 5-8 against Davidson in a series that dates back to 1988. The teams have split the last four meetings with the Wildcats winning a five-set decision in the most recent encounter on Sept. 5, 2015.
