Pirates Set to Conclude Fall Play at Charlotte Invitational

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's golf team is set to wrap up its fall schedule on Monday, Oct. 24 when the Pirates compete in the Charlotte Invitational at the par-72, 6,381-yard Cabarrus Country Club in Concord, N.C.

The two-day tournament will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Monday of 36 holes of play followed by 18 holes on Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m.

ECU is coming off its fifth straight Pirate Collegiate Classic title where the Pirates shot 16-over par 88 as a team. Sophomore Marta Perez carded a 1-over par 217 to finish in fourth place for her first top five career finish to lead the Pirates.

Perez, Oda Sofie Kilsti, Danielle Modder, Andrea Miralles Llopis and Grayson Warren will take the course for the Pirates while Caroline Hermes will compete as an individual.

The Pirates and host Charlotte will join a field composed of Cal Poly, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, High Point, Jacksonville State, James Madison, Marshall, North Illinois, Queens University of Charlotte and Xavier.
