GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina men's basketball team embarks on its first road trip of the season on Monday Nov. 21 when the Pirates square off against Indiana State in the first round of the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Fla.

Tipoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and tournament games will be streamed via FloHoops.

Last Time Out
Quentin Diboundje and Javon Small each scored 17 points as East Carolina rallied from a 17-point second half deficit to defeat Hampton 82-73 on Wednesday evening at Williams Arena in Minges Coliseum. ECU went on a 20-0 run to flip a 57-70 deficit with 7:23 remaining into a 77-70 lead with 1:26 left in the game. The Pirates went 6-of-9 from the floor during that stretch, including hitting three shots from behind the arc in consecutive possessions.

Gulf Coast Showcase
Joining East Carolina and Indiana State in the 10^th annual Gulf Coast Showcase are Drexel, UT Arlington, Florida Gulf Coast, Kansas City, Northern Kentucky and Toledo. The Pirates went 1-2 to finish in fifth place in the 2014 Gulf Coast Showcase.

Against the Missouri Valley
The Pirates are 7-8 all-time against teams from the Missouri Valley Conference. The last time the Pirates and Sycamores last met was on Dec. 8, 1978, where Indiana State defeated East Carolina 102-79 in the Hatter Classic led by Larry Bird's 32 points.
