GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's basketball team returns home on Monday for a contest against the North Carolina A&T Aggies at 6 p.m. in Minges Coliseum. Tickets are still available for those wishing to attend and for those unable to attend the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
The Pirates dropped a road contest against Gardner-Webb in their last outing. It was a close game throughout the game until the Runnin' Bulldogs put on a 14-4 run to finish the game over the final two-plus minutes that the Pirates simply couldn't answer. ECU led by as many as seven, but Webb's Jhessyka Williams proved to be simply too much, finishing with 27 points and 11 rebounds.
Â
Scouting the Aggies
North Carolina A&T has gotten off to a 5-4 record through nine games but find themselves only 1-3 on the road. The Aggies will be looking for a repeat of last year's contest as they come off of a tough 16-point loss to Auburn. A&T has played a tough schedule on the year which is reflected in their record but does share one common opponent with ECU in South Carolina State who they defeated 68-49.
Â
The Aggies have three players scoring in double figures on the year led by Jazmin Harris at 14.9 per game. Harris also leads the team in rebounding with an impressive clip of 8.4 per, while adding 16 blocks to her resume on the season. Maleia Bracone has also been strong for A&T, scoring 14.0 points per game while leading the team with 34 assists.
Â
Series History
ECU and North Carolina A&T have met 16 times throughout their histories dating back to 1987. The teams most recently met last season, a 75-59 loss for the Pirates on the road. Taniyah Thompson led the way for ECU with 22 points while A&T's Shareka McNeill dropped 25 en route to leading her team to victory.
