GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Pirates will attempt to snap a four-game losing streak Wednesday night when they host Temple to complete the season series inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the contest will steam live via ESPN+.

Damian Dunn was the hero in the teams' previous meeting in Philadelphia back on Jan. 8, hitting a contested three-point field goal as time expired to lift the Owls to a 78-75 victory. Alanzo Frink scored a season-high 15 points as one of three ECU players in double figures. Tremont Robinson-White added 14 while Vance Jackson finished with 12 and a team-best six rebounds. Tristen Newton also chipped in with a career-high nine assists to go along with eight points and six rebounds.

East Carolina shot over 50 percent from the field for the fourth time this season, connecting on 26 of 51 attempts (51 percent), while also outrebounding Temple by a 29-27 margin. ECU also hit 16 of 17 free-throw attempts (94.1 percent). The Owls fired at a 49-percent clip (28 of 57) from the floor and matched the Pirates with seven three-point field goals.

Last Time Out
The Pirates erased a double-digit second-half deficit in Sunday's battle with Cincinnati, taking the lead with under 30 seconds remaining, but David DeJulius grabbed an offensive rebound and scored on the Bearcats' final possession to help the visitors escape with a 60-59 win.

Jackson paced all scorers in the contest with 25 points and completed his fourth double-double of the season by pulling down 10 rebounds. Newton added 14 points, five assists and three steals.

The Pirates shot the ball at 28.8-percent efficiency in the game, hitting 15 of 52 attempts from the field. Conversely, Cincinnati drained 21 of 60 to end up at 35 percent. ECU outrebounded the Bearcats 41-40, but turned the ball over 14 times and were outscored by the visitors 26-10 in the paint. East Carolina continued to stand solid at the free throw line, putting in 23 of 27 for 85.2 percent.

The Competition
Temple (11-7, 4-3 AAC) fell 69-61 on the road at SMU in its last outing Jan. 29. Dunn led the Owls with 16 points while Jeremiah Williams added 13. Temple has won four of its last five games, including road victories at UCF (66-62) and Tulsa (69-64).

Inside The Friendly Confines
ECU owns a 10-2 record inside Minges Coliseum entering Wednesday's contest. The Pirates fell for the first time in Greenville back on January 18 when they squandered a 20-point second-half lead in an overtime setback to UCF. East Carolina owns a pair of AAC victories at home over Tulane and Memphis.

Temple leads the series with East Carolina by an 8-4 margin. The Pirates defeated the Owls 67-63 in the last meeting between the teams in Greenville.

The Pirates fell to 2-17 all time against Cincinnati ... ECU dropped to 4-2 in games decided by three points or less ... East Carolina lost for the first time this season when holding an opponent to less than 70 points ...
