TULSA, Okla. – Looking to pick up some momentum down the stretch of the regular season, East Carolina heads to Tulsa Tuesday night for an American Athletic Conference contest inside the Reynolds Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. and the game will stream live on ESPN+.

The Pirates (11-11, 2-8 AAC) fell to Tulane 86-66 Saturday afternoon in New Orleans. The Green Wave knocked down 11 three-point field goals and shot nearly 50 percent from the field overall.Â

Vance Jackson netted a game-high 27 points on 10 for 18 shooting from the field and pulled down eight rebounds. He also hit seven three-point field goals – just one off his season high of eight at Cincinnati. Tristen Newton flirted with a triple-double, stuffing the stat sheet with 12 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.

Nearly half of Tulane's buckets were of the three-point variety as the Green Wave fired at 45.2-percent (14 of 31) efficiency from deep and 49.2 percent (30 of 61) overall. East Carolina knocked down 23 of 65 attempts from the floor (35.4 percent) and 11 of 35 (31.4 percent) from three-point range. The Pirates outrebounded Tulane 43-33 and scored 13 second-chance points off 16 offensive rebounds.

ECU seeks its first road win of the season while Tulsa is 6-6 inside the Reynolds Center.

The Competition
Tulsa (7-14, 1-9 AAC) lost at Temple Saturday afternoon by a 67-58 count. The Golden Hurricane led by three with 6:02 remaining but was outscored 21-9 the rest of the way.

Rey Idowu was a perfect 8-of-8 from the field and hit five free throws to set a career-high 21 points, including 15 in the second half. Sam Griffin scored 11 and Jeriah Horne put up 10 and had seven rebounds. Anthony Pritchard had a team-high five assists. Tulsa was just 2 of 18 from three-point range despite outshooting the Owls overall.

Tulsa leads the all-time series with East Carolina 23-3 and has won the last eight meetings. The last and only win for the Pirates in Tulsa occurred Feb. 20, 2013 by a 72-63 margin.

The Pirates fell to 17-16 all time against Tulane ... ECU dropped to 0-5 in true road contests ... East Carolina hit double-digit three pointers for the fifth time this season ...
