GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's basketball hits the road against Wednesday for a noon tipoff with the Temple Owls in Philadelphia, Pa.

Last Time Out
The Pirates were fueled by Danae McNeal's career-high 26 points last time out in a home win over Tulane. McNeal hit six threes on the day, including five in the first half, as the team used an 11-0 run over the final 6:09 of the game to pull away for victory. Amiya Joyner recorded another double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds in the game while Jayla Hearp added 13 points of her own.

Scouting the Owls
Temple's 7-8 record is a bit misleading. The team faced a tough non-conference schedule and got through it with a 5-7 record, including nearly picking up a ranked win, 74-71, against then-No.24 Villanova. Since entering conference play, the team is 2-1 with their one loss coming on the road to South Florida (RV).

The Owls are led in scoring by Aleah Nelson at 15.9 points per game - as well as .391 from deep with 45 made triples - while Jasha Clinton and Tiarra East both add double-figure scoring at 12.6 and 11.3 apiece. East is also the team's leading rebounder at 6.3 per game while Nelson leads the way with 65 assists on the season.

Series History
Temple has absolutely controlled the series history winning 11 of the 13 games played and five straight since the Pirates' last win in February 2020. Coach Kim McNeill is only 1-5 against the Owls with the one win coming in her first attempt in Minges Coliseum. ECU will look to turn the tide and win in Philadelphia for the first time in program history on Wednesday.
