GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's basketball team hosts the Memphis Tigers on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. tipoff in Minges Coliseum.

Last Time Out
The Pirates earned a win on the road at Wichita State on Saturday, 66-57. Micah Dennis led all scorers with 19 points to go with five rebounds and a pair of assists. Danae McNeal and Amiya Joyner both had strong days as well with 18 points and five steals and 16 points, five rebounds and two blocks, respectively. Locked at 46 going into the final period, the Pirates used back-to-back Dennis triples to push the lead to nine. East Carolina went on to hit key shots late and wreak havoc on defense to put the game away. On the game, the team racked up 40 points off of 27 turnovers forced.

Scouting Memphis
The Tigers enter the game on the heels of a 64-53 victory over Temple in Memphis on Saturday. The team has worked back to a 3-3 in record American Athletic Conference play and 11-8 overall after winning three of their last four contests.

Memphis is still led in scoring by Jamirah Shutes with 14.2 points per game while Madison Griggs is still shooting the lights out to the tune of 53 made threes and 12.8 points per game. Hannah Riddick leads the team with 6.3 rebounds per game while Emani Jefferson has recorded a team-best 47 assists.

Series History
The Pirates leads the all-time series 20-19 thanks to a win in the last meeting on Jan. 3 in Memphis. McNeal led the way in the game with 20 points, three steals, three rebounds and a pair of assists. Joyner had a strong day as well with a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds.
