GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's basketball team travels to Tampa, Fla. on Tuesday for a tilt with the American Athletic Conference's top team, No. 25 South Florida. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
The Pirates dropped a disappointing home loss to the Memphis Tigers last time out. Unable to find takeaways and easy offense, the Pirates allowed a 12-1 Memphis run to end the game over the last 6:23 of the game. Danae McNeal had 19 points and Amiya Joyner had 13 rebounds, but it was not enough on the day against a physical and unrelenting Tigers bunch.

Scouting South Florida
The Bulls, who entered the AP Top 25 on Monday, are the team to beat in the AAC and it's obvious why. With a 19-4 record, the team has a host of weapons and has yet to be defeated in conference play, including a 21-point thumping of conference No. 2 Tulsa Wednesday. The team is putting up 70.5 points per game with a victory margin of nearly a dozen per game.

Pick your poison with South Florida's group. Elena Tsineke scores 17.6 per game, Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu adds 16.7 and Sammie Puisis contributes 15.8. Additionally, freshman Carla Brito adds 8.7 points per game. Fankam Mendjiadeu adds 12.5 rebounds per contest as well as 23 blocks on the year to lead the team while Tsineke's 68 assists is also a team best.

Series History
The Bulls control the all-time series with a 12-6 margin. The Pirates won six of the first eight starting in 1985 but have not beaten South Florida since 2015.
