
Help The Pirates "Max Out Minges" This Week

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Over the next week, seven events will take place inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum including five in which the Pirates will compete as fans are encouraged to come out and help "Max Out Minges" in support of the Purple and Gold.

On Wednesday morning, the East Carolina women's basketball team will host Hampton at 11 a.m. in front of 23 schools from Pitt County with over 5,000 students as part of its annual Education Day. Tickets for women's basketball season ticket holders will be honored and DJ Mista Illz will be here to help entertain all the kids!

The men's basketball team will face in-state foe UNC Wilmington at 7 p.m. on Thursday night for a 'Paint It Purple' game.  The first 1,000 students in attendance will get a free purple "shirsey" t-shirt and we will be recognizing all of our international student athletes at halftime. The Pirates' volleyball team will compete in the postseason for the first time in program history on Friday and Saturday as the team will host the first and second rounds of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC). Georgia Southern and Winthrop will battle at 2 p.m. on Friday followed by the Pirates facing The Citadel at 6 p.m. on Friday.Â

The winner of both Friday matches will play in the NIVC Second Round on Saturday at 6 p.m. Get your tickets here.

Prior to the volleyball match on Saturday, the ECU women's basketball team will play Coppin State at 2 p.m. This game will be our Diabetes Awareness Game. Pirates head coach Kim McNeill will host a pregame Chalk Talk in the women's basketball auxiliary practice gym at 1 p.m. for all Pirate fans.Â
