GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's basketball team hosts the Wichita State Shockers at 2 p.m. on Sunday in Minges Coliseum. The game will be the team's annual Pink Game.

Last Time Out
The Pirates used a 17-0 run to open the fourth quarter to blow past Temple last time out. Amiya Joyner was electric, particularly in that final 10 minutes as she finished the game with 23 points and 14 rebounds. Danae McNeal joined the freshman in having another strong game with 17 points and three steals.

Scouting Wichita State
The Shockers snapped a two-game skid last time out with a home win over Tulane. The team has had an up-and-down run of it in conference play which sees them holding a 4-7 record in AAC play to this point.

Wichita State is led by the tremendous tandem of Jane Asinde and Trajata Colbert with 12.3 points and 11.0 rebounds and 12.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game respectively. In the last matchup with ECU, the duo was two points for Asinde away from both having double-doubles.

Series History
The short series between the two teams dating to 2018 has been a close one. Thanks to a win in the last meeting - the first ever at Wichita for ECU - the Pirates own a narrow 5-4 margin. Micah Dennis had a career day in that game with 19 points and three triples.
